Dear James,
It's been so long since I wrote to you here. That doesn't mean I love you any less, it means life happened. We have been exploring, and growing so much together. You have accomplished and learned so much in your nineteen months with us. At times it feels like you have been with us for so long but other times I can hardly believe you have only been apart of this world for a little over a year. I cannot imagine what life is like without you anymore. From your cute little toes to your crazy wild hair. You are my life, my love and why I wake up every morning. At times you can still make me want to scream and cry. You make me question my sanity on a daily basis. You make me do some pretty crazy things, even when you aren't around(like making sound effects for EVERYTHING). But even through all the hard and stressful times, I wouldn't change a thing. You are who you are. You are beautiful, you are smart, and you are loved.
It is hard to believe how grown up you are now. You are your own person. You love to make people laugh and you love to be tickled. You can say so many words now and have even started putting them together. You still eat everything we give you and are very lucky you haven't become a picky eater yet(knock on wood). You wear a size 8 toddler shoe, and a size 2t shirt. You are so big!
You are OBSESSED with Elmo and Grover, well really any of the Sesame Street characters. You love trucks, cars and boats. You are such a boys boy. You love making motorcycle sounds and pointing at the planes in the sky. You love your grandpa and your daddy. You love you tup(cup) and your bloons(balloons). Your love shoes and looking out the window. You love playing outside and jumping off the couch.
Mommy is so proud of everything you do. From every cry to every laugh I'm always there for you. You love to snuggle with your mom and dad. You love your dog "see see"(Lucy). You love our new house and having two of your own rooms. You are the happiest little guy I've ever met. You continue to amaze me every day with the new things you are doing. You are the most amazing son I could have ever imagined and I anticipate every new thing you do. I love that you are growing up so well but dread it at the same time. It's hard knowing you are a big boy now and not a baby. I miss having to hold you all the time but love that you know it's okay to let go. I love you so much James and can't wait to see what month twenty brings.

Missing in Action
So last time I was really actively blogging was JULY. Yes thats right. I left you all stranded, with no warning, BY YOURSELF, for 5 months!
So where have I been?
Don't even know where to begin.
I got promoted at my job which is turn has taken me from working like 30 hours a week to working about 44.
Watching/caring for James has become increasingly more difficult as I think he has hit his "terrible twos" six months early. I went from having this sweet baby to having this defiant, tough, always saying "NO!" boy. LOL. needless to say I can devote about a weeks worth of posts about dealing with James and how we are using our attachment parenting lifestyle in "disciplining" our child.
Oh and in the midst of all that we are M O V I N G!!! Yes we are finally getting out of our small apartment. We are moving into a house!! Literally doubling the square feet, gaining 3 extra rooms, getting our own backyard and so much more!! We move in January 1 so it will be a while before you get to see the pics of our awesome new house!
Okay so basically I've just been busy. But now please accept my apology as I am trying to dedicate more time to you lovely people and more effort.
So I leave the rest of this post with just a bunch of pictures that I would have shared with you originally had I been blogging.
So hey here it goes(i THINK these are in order from oldest to newest):

Christmas Number Two
This Christmas will be James second Christmas. Of course last year he was only six months old so I've kind of been counting this as his first "real" Christmas. He kinda gets it he kinda doesn't. He loves that we have a "tree" in our house. He loves reading books about "anta" and going "ho, ho, ho". But does he really get it?
No lol.
I'm sure Christmas morning he will still be more interested in the wrapping paper and boxes rather than the presents themselves.
He had no idea why I had him drop his letter to "anta" in a mailbox.
He has no idea why we have a stuffed animal elf that moves every night.
And I'm sure he won't understand why we leave a plate of cookies out for "anta" on Christmas Eve.
However I do know one day he will get it. One day he will understand the magic of Christmas and he may even want to look at pictures of him doing it when he was younger. For that reason(and many many others) is why I try to let James experience Christmas to the fullest.
No lol.

Nuby Mommy Bloggers: Wacky Ware Bowl Review!
"Nûby™ Wacky Ware™ has been designed to put the fun back into feeding and help with the transition to independent feeding. The microwave safe Wacky Ware™ Bowl is colorful fun and functional to use and has a lid that seals tightly to prevent spills and store food. The easy to hold handles are designed with a soft-grip material that is perfectly shaped and comfortable for little hands to grip, helping them transition from weaning to independent feeding."
I can't even describe how much I love this bowl. This is my go-to bowl for James snacks because of the lid. The lid fits so perfectly that I know all its contents won't spill all over the diaper bag. What's great about this bowl is that it is also microwave safe. Oh and the lid seals so tightly that it is safe for food storing too!
I love this bowl also because of how sturdy it is. You can tell it was made with the idea that it would be thrown around a lot. James has dropped this so many times and ours still looks brand new!!

Scavenger Hunt Sunday
I should let you all know that I took three out of the five pictures on Sunday. How's that for procrastinating? So don't hate me that they aren't that interesting this week!
1. Red
2. Orange
3. Yellow
4. Green
This was taken at my sisters new house one day this week. We were helping her move in and I decided to snap this shot of James playing!5. Blue
Blue Eyes! Took this one at my nephew's T-Ball Game!
I'll try this week to take some during the week, instead of all on Sunday!

Dear James,
You are eight months old(note-blogging a bit late he was eight months February 2). I can't even believe you are this old. To me you still seem so small, yet you're so big. I can still vividly remember the early morning hours of June 2, leading up to your arrival. It still seems so fresh, so new. One of these days I should write your complete birth story so it always is fresh, and detail filled. I'm sure I've forgotten some of the minor details already but I will never forget the major moments of your eventful birthday. Fast forward 8 months and there you are. A handsome young boy with crazy hair! Yet to me you still seem so small.
I looked back at younger pictures of you recently and I cried. My baby isn't that much of a baby anymore. As you get closer and closer to being refereed to as a "toddler" I can't help but cry. My baby isn't a baby. Your hair was so dark, so thick. Your skin was so red. Your face so round. Now as I lay in bed staring at you, your not an infant. You're so old. Now that the sappy things are out of the way, James, I love this stage you're in. You can move baby! You are officially a speed crawler. It's not even like your trying to crawl anymore, YOU CAN CRAWL. Something else that is exciting is you can pull yourself up on things, to a standing position. And just today(2/11), you let go of the couch and for about ten seconds you were standing on your own. Of course once you realized what you were doing you fell, but hey, that's a start!
Your favorite thing to eat right now is....pretty much anything you see someone eating. You strive to be just like everyone else. If I'm drinking a smoothie, your drinking a smoothie. If I'm eating chicken, you're eating chicken. Something you do now, which I adore, is reach for people. If you want Grandpa, you're getting Grandpa. If you want out of your exersaucer, you now know how to express that. Sleeping is now down to a rhythm. You take two naps a day, one at ten and one at two. You fall asleep for the night by the latest 10:30. You are still addicted to pacifiers. Your favorite toy lately is the big legos. You love being able to sit on your own and play with the "big kids". You love untying everyone's shoelaces. You are OBSESSED with shoes. If there is a shoe left out where you can get it you better bet you will. You love going on walks and looking around.
You love being at restaurants. You are a huge flirt now, you love smiling at everyone. You still don't like sippy cups or water. You only get about 5 bottles a day now. You really like paper/magazines and ripping them up. I officially gave up even attempting to get you into your crib. Cosleeping is your top choice, and I don't mind it at all. I love being all snuggled with my baby. You still do not have any teeth. Although just recently it feels like we can finally feel a bump where one on the bottom is coming in, but who knows if I'm not just imagining that. You love my camera, any time I try to take pictures of you the first thing you do is reach right for it. Which has made it increasingly difficult to get good pictures of you lol.
You give kisses. If someone makes the kissing noise(and you're in the mood) you open your mouth as wide as you can and lean in. It's literally the cutest thing I have ever seen. Recently you have started having temper tantrums. If you are playing with something you shouldn't be and we take it away you let us know you didn't like that. By screaming as loud as humanly possible. You hate getting dressed and cry every single time we change your clothes. But you L O V E taking baths, and playing in the water. Which excites me for this summer when you get to swim in the pool. You love books and flipping through all the different pages. You make the "oooo" sound a lot. You are at my favorite stage right now.
I cannot wait to see all the changes that take place in the up coming weeks. I love you forever.
Love,
Mommy

Scavenger Hunt Sunday!!
This is my first time doing a Scavenger Hunt Sunday! I am pretty excited and these seem pretty fun. This week all of my pictures are going to be SOOC(straight out of the camera-in other words, no editing). I hope to participate in many more scavenger hunts but for now here is this weeks!

1. The Small Things
For this one I knew I wanted to incorporate my son, since he is a "small thing", but I wasn't sure how. Lately he has been obsessed with the BIG legos, which are still small, so I decided to use both of them for this one.
2. Illustration
This was a really hard one for me. Since I am terrible, and I mean terrible at drawing I decided to take a picture of one. This is hanging in my house, it's a drawing of my dog Daisy. It was drawn by Jose Ferrer, my brother-in-law.
3. Valentine
We don't have any Valentine's Day decorations up yet so the category Valentine was a toughie, I saw this calendar and figured it was the best thing I could take a picture of.
4. Work of Art
Since I already explained I am challenged at making any form of art(besides music that is) I decided the only thing I made that I consider a work of art. My son, James. He is more of a work of art to me than anything else I have ever seen.
5. Window Beauty
This one was THE HARDEST one for me. I didn't like the way any of the pictures I took of the windows at my house. While I was playing with James I saw this little car on the ground and figured it has windows on it so it must count! So there it goes.
I had a lot of fun doing this scavenger hunt and really hope I am able to it next week as well!
